Conservatory style options

We have a wide range of high quality conservatory styles to choose from, including:

Victorian Conservatories – Victorian conservatories have a classic, ornate look that complements both period and modern build homes. They’re considered to be the most popular style. Adding a Victorian conservatory to a home can be an excellent way to create a sunny, ornate space.

Edwardian Conservatories – These are contemporary and elegant to keep your home pleasant and comfortable all year round. A popular style of conservatory characterised by their clean lines, square corners and pitched roof with a central ridge. They’re a great way to expand your living space and come in various designs, including hipped-back and double-hipped. They’re suitable for most homes.

Georgian Conservatories – These conservatories typically have a high, sloping roof style that gives a spectacular vaulted effect, allowing the conservatory to immerse with light and create a bright, airy, uplifting room. They’re a popular option that can be custom-built with various materials.

Gable Front Conservatories – A spacious and stylish option for adding brightness and space to your home. It comes in a range of designs, including T-shape and double-hipped, making it a versatile option for numerous types of homes.

Lean To Conservatories – These are extensions to a home with a sloping roof and simple rectangular or square shape. They’re considered a simpler and more cost-effective alternative to traditional or classic conservatories. They’re popular amongst modern properties due to their clean lines. They create a sun-filled and spacious extension to a home, providing a comfortable space to enjoy the garden all year round.

Orangeries – They come somewhere between a single storey extension and a conservatory. Orangeries are designed to introduce natural light and provide additional living space. Orangeries typically have a solid roof with a central glass element, like a skylight. In addition, orangeries often have brick pillars and even full walls, together with solid roofs, making them generally better insulated than conservatories. Orangeries can be designed in a range of different styles.

Conservatory design options

Once you have chosen the conservatory style you require, several other choices will be made, including colour, roof, windows, glazing (triple, double glazing, etc), doors, and any other finishing touches.

Coloured external finishes are becoming a popular choice, and in addition to the original Oak and Rosewood finishes, we can now offer a wide range of external colours. Internally, our conservatories are supplied with a white finish as standard, which can be personalised as required.

Our range of door options includes patio, French, single, sliding, and bi-fold doors. You can have as many doors as you require, and they can be positioned wherever necessary.

We can talk you through the available options and the most suitable for your property, usage and budget.

PVC is extremely long-lasting and will not rot, rust, or flake. Our UPVC conservatories are all compliant with several industry bodies and come with a 10-year guarantee.

Why choose a UPVC conservatory?

The main reason for choosing a UPVC conservatory is its cost effective, but it is also a long-lasting material that will not swell, rot or warp in wet weather. UPVC also has fantastic insulation properties and comes in various styles and colours, including timber-look designs. In addition, it’s low maintenance and only needs a quick wipe-down to keep it clean. UPVC does not need painting or varnishing, unlike timber conservatories and will keep its colour for many years.

Furthermore, the beauty of a UPVC conservatory is that you can purpose-design the space to suit your needs. If you need any advice, our network of accredited installers are available to chat through your options with you and find a design that ticks all your boxes.

Conservatory Building Regulations

A conservatory is usually exempt from building regulations if it meets several conditions, including:

  • It is built at ground level with a floor area of no more than 30 square metres.
  • A minimum 50% of the new wall and 75% of the roof is glazed or uses a translucent material.
  • External quality walls, doors or windows separate the conservatory from the property.
  • The glazing and any electrical installations meet the requirements of applicable building regulations.
  • Any heating system is independent from the home with separate on/off and temperature controls.
